KZUM WINS HORIZON AWARD
The Board of
Trustees of the Community Health Endowment (CHE) has selected
Sunrise Communications/KZUM Radio as the recipient of the 2011
Horizon Award.
KZUM was selected
for this award because of their deep commitment to building
community and to educate with diverse voices to enrich the entire
community. The award acknowledges the station for providing
multi-cultural programming as well as general health related
programming and education, including many Public Service
Announcements.
This is the 11th
year that CHE has selected a deserving individual or group who is
making a difference in achieving their vision to make Lincoln,
Nebraska the "healthiest community in the
nation."
The award will be
presented to the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers of KZUM
at the Community Health Endowment's annual meeting on May 17,
2011.
