1867 Bar's monthly Paws & Draws event features a holiday spin this Sunday, with all proceeds from photos of pets taken with Santa to benefit Lincoln Animal Ambassadors.
The nonprofit arts organization offers art and fine crafts by artists from Lincoln to around the world for purchase this holiday season at their University Place building, which is in the midst of more expansion ahead of renovations.
The Lincoln icon will be remembered at a memorial service on Friday afternoon as well as an open jam at The Zoo Bar on Saturday. An online fund has been set up to help cover final expenses. Lincoln's Jerry Pranksters will also be donating money raised at their show Friday.
Your contribution will help start the station off right in 2018, as we celebrate 40 years on the air. We have some big things in store for this landmark anniversary and every dollar raised by Dec. 31 will support special community events and programming.

The Old Cheney Road Farmers Market will host its first Holiday Harvest Farmers Market on Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Park Centers Banquet Hall, 2608 Park Blvd. The other two Holiday markets will are set for Dec. 3rd and Dec. 12 during the same hours.
The Blues Society of Omaha will be honored at a Jan. 19 ceremony in Memphis, Tenn. BluesEd, its youth artist development program, has worked to teach blues performance and history to young people in the area since 2001.
