The world’s longest active dance band, The Bobby Layne Orchestra, returned to Stransky Park last week as part of KZUM’s Summer Concert series, delighting a summer crowd with standards and hits spanning the 20th century songbook, complete with emcee work by KZUM’s Con Good, host of “Dance Bands and More: When Melody Was King.”

The free summer series runs every Thursday at 7 p.m. through August 9th at Stransky Park, 17th and Harrison. This week, a very special evening of bluegrass with the Toasted Ponies and Southpaw Bluegrass Band. Find out more here on our website.
