Local EDM artists hosted, TrvpSquad and Friends, at 1867 Bar on First Friday last week. Artists on the lineup were Gone Nuclear, DJ Dally G, Odinson, Bassic Stylz, TrvpSquad and B5B.

The event was all ages and packed full of local EDM fans. From multi-colored balls to a light-up hula hoop, the audience was equipped to dance and have a good time.

First up was Lincoln’s own Gone Nuclear, who is fresh to the scene. With Pacman sounds and hard beat drops, “Bangarang” by Skrillex was one of the notable songs mixed into the set.

Second was DJ Dally G, who mixed a wide variety of sounds from old to new. He got many people up and dancing, and was popular with the audience.

Third up was Odinson, who mixed in a rendition of “My Name Is” by Eminem and had a consistent heavy sound throughout his set. Odinson ended his set on a great note, telling the crowd, “keep dancing. We’re here to dance. That’s why we’re here.”

Bassic Stylz followed, which is a dubstep duo consisting of Don Bassic and Ryanstylz. At the beginning of the set, one member of the duo said it’s the first time together in over a year. Bassic Stylz set was electrifying, adding a different vibe to the show.

Then came Jeff Taylor, also known as TrvpSquad, who was listed as a headliner for the event. TrvpSquad started out playing drums in multiple bands and picked up music when he was 12 years old. His first band, Remember Yesterday, had a few albums before the band eventually split. DJing for about two years, he has recently got into production and booking big events. TrvpSquad shared the stage with names such as Ray Volpe, Jphelpz, Dirt Monkey, Proko, NASTY NASTY and Sfam. He is also booked for a couple big Midwest festivals coming this summer.

The show ended with B5B, and at the end of the set all artists did a few songs together, making it a night for EDM fans to remember.
