For almost as long as there has been music being made, composers have been fascinated by the cosmos. The sun, the moon and the stars have provided us with countless memories in song. This Monday’s solar eclipse will be the first for Nebraska in about 100 years and KZUM has the music to get you in the sky-watching mood.

At KZUM, we take a lot of pride in the tastes of our programmers, especially when it comes to themed programs. What better theme than the eclipse?

We’ll have a number of special programs throughout the day on Monday, curated and presented by programmers to celebrate the event. We also asked KZUM programmers to submit their own playlists of eclipse-related songs and here’s what we got.

Have a safe and happy eclipse day!
