Opera in Conversation is a series of three sessions surrounding Opera Omaha mainstage productions that features creatives, scholars, and other public figures. These FREE events exist to foster cross-disciplinary exploration of art, big questions, and community connections. Food Packing Event – Community Night
Food Packing Event – Community Night
Sheridan Lutheran Church, located at 6955 Old Cheney Road, will host a community-wide food packing event in partnership with Heartland Kids Against Hunger on Wednesday, October 9, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The goal is to pack 35,000 bags of nutritious rice mix that will be distributed to those in need throughout Nebraska. Dinner will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. at a cost of $7 for adults and $4 for children. Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk
Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk
Join Advanced Medical Imaging on October 12th for the second annual Breast Cancer Walk, benefitting Heartland Cancer Foundation. The fun, 1.5-mile walk will begin and end in the Advanced Medical Imaging Surgery Center parking lot. Participants will walk along the Billy Wolf Trail and can expect music, food, and photo opportunities as well as a speech from a breast cancer survivor herself, Sara Lockard.
