Omt! Divine Resale opened its doors for the first time in 1979 and is celebrating 40 years this year. A three generation family-owned shop sells women’s designer resale clothing and accessories at affordable prices.

Co-owner of omt! Divine Resale, Sarah Gauger said, “Our mother was an elected official on the County Board during the 1970s and ’80s and ‘One More Time’ was born out of her desire to own her own business.”

As the 40 anniversary of omt! happens this year it gives back to the local community of Lincoln in small but impactful ways.

“We have started a campaign called ‘40 Acts of Kindness’ in which we will be having a fundraiser for Fresh Start Women’s Home four time this year. This is a sale that we sell items for only $2 and all the proceeds go to the shelter,” Gauger said. “We also participated in a diaper drive and donated new socks to the flood victims. Some of our acts are small deeds like giving a pair of gloves to a customer who couldn’t afford them or giving $20 to a man who stopped in the store trying to sell his clothes because he needed gas money.”

With only having one store across the country in a town like Lincoln everyone from consumers to consigners is welcomed as part of the family. Everyone involved from buying to selling clothing and accessories brings not only the store together but impacts the community in positive ways.

“I’d like people to know that we work very hard for omt! to be a beautiful space where customers can shop and try on selections in comfort and at their leisure. We curate the items that we think they will like and display them so that our customers can see them easily and try them on,” said Gauger.

Family is what this local store is all about. From grandmothers to daughters to grandchildren and nieces this shop has been a part of so many people’s lives growing up. It really does run in the family not because they have to do it, but because they choose to.

“Omt! is all about constant changes in inventory which makes resale so fun. We have redesigned our logo for our 40th year and with it comes a new tagline; ‘Trust and Treasures Since 1979.’ For myself, this sums it all up and I am so grateful for the ride,” said Gauger.
