Lincoln has grown into a burgeoning music community with diverse influences and a growing art scene. As these art forms have begun to take off, Lincoln’s dance community’s fuse is just beginning to be lit.

For those who want a selection of gifts made by local artists and crafts people, the eighth annual Lincoln Holiday Craftacular will be Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Embassy Suites, 1040 P St.

It was unsurprisingly cold for December's First Friday, but that didn't stop people from flocking downtown Lincoln to see the art.

Hosted at Bodhi Imports, 1645 S. 17th St., the Bodhi Holiday Fest will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. to bring together the Bodhi community and celebrate — all while promoting the store and providing customers with new products and ideas.

HellYeahx7 will be open at Tugboat Gallery from 7 to 10 p.m. on Dec. 2 and will run until Dec. 30. The artists will explore a range of topics — from body positivity and vulnerability, to race and feminism — using a variety of mediums, including oil painting and embroidery.

The first of three Holiday Farmers Markets was held on Sunday at the Park Centers Banquet Hall.
