Fargo's Baltic to Boardwalk, with The Boner Killers, Timecat and Not Ben Shin, all of Omaha, played The Commons LNK on Wednesday night with proceeds going to the efforts in Standing Rock.
Josie Karre is a Lincoln-based artist in her mid-20s who not only makes art, but also displays it as well. Karre is the owner of Blueberry Center Gallery, located in Parrish Studios that sits right above Ali Baba’s on 14th street.
On Thursday, Lincoln will join the rest of the international community in efforts to support refugees from Syria and other conflict zones around the globe.

Sonny Knight and the Lakers, of the Twin Cities, brought their high-energy hard soul to The Bourbon Theatre Thursday night, with an opening set by Omaha soul outfit High Up.
Matthew Curry, of Bloomington, Ind., brought his blues to the Zoo Bar Wednesday night.
The free event is held every month by the Common Root Mutual Aid Center., with the next Support Circle scheduled for November 13, from 6 to 8 p.m.
