The annual two-day music festival, Zoofest, returns this weekend. The Zoo Bar has hosted the celebration of live national, regional and local music in downtown Lincoln for over 20 years. This year, the festival features great acts like Mike Zito, Empire Strikes Brass and Mavis Staples.
Portland-Based Alternative Group, Portugal. The Man, played a highly anticipated show at The Bourbon Theatre. The group was founded in 2000, and made waves with their album "Woodstock," which features the hit song "Feel It Still."
Folk singer/songwriter, Jospeph Huber, was in town to play a concert at The Bourbon Theatre. He is currently on tour for his latest album, "Moondog." He was joined on-stage by Lincoln's Gabe Nelson.
A member of The Machete Archive is moving away. As such, Duffy's Tavern hosting a going away concert of sorts featuring Her Flyaway Manner, Universe Contest and The Machete Archive.

New Orleans-Based band, The Iguanas returned to The Zoo Bar stage on Monday, July 8. Their sound has been described as "combining Chicano rock, R&B, Conjunto and various Latin styles into a deep groove."
