Sheridan Lutheran Church, located at 6955 Old Cheney Road, will host a community-wide food packing event in partnership with Heartland Kids Against Hunger on Wednesday, October 9, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The goal is to pack 35,000 bags of nutritious rice mix that will be distributed to those in need throughout Nebraska. Dinner will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. at a cost of $7 for adults and $4 for children. Worship will take place from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
