Noir: Art Show Opening

Loading Events

NOIR, an art show featuring artwork inspired by the intense, dark and mysterious.

NOIR
Defined by moody and atmospheric aesthetics, the artistic genre of NOIR thrives on the interplay of light and shadow, beauty and bleakness, minimalism and high drama, tension, moral ambiguity, emotional intensity, disillusionment and resiliency.

This exhibit is a collaborative extension of Opera Omaha’s upcoming noir inspired production of DON GIOVANNI. Artists were asked show us NOIR from their perspective, as well as to feel free to use Mozart’s shadowy-toned world of love, lust, and vengeance (and their consequences) as inspirations for their work.

ORPHEUM SHOWCASE
A small selection of art from this exhibit will be chosen to be part of a showcase at the Orpheum Theater during the production of DON GIOVANNI, October 18th & 20th, 2024.

A collaboration of Wicked Raven Productions, Opera Omaha, and Joslyn Castle & Gardens.
