Join Advanced Medical Imaging on October 12th for the second annual Breast Cancer Walk, benefitting Heartland Cancer Foundation. The fun, 1.5-mile walk will begin and end in the Advanced Medical Imaging Surgery Center parking lot. Participants will walk along the Billy Wolf Trail and can expect music, food, and photo opportunities as well as a speech from a breast cancer survivor herself, Sara Lockard. Conversations with Writers Third Thursdays features one established and one emerging writer to talk about the joys and travails of their writing journeys. Creative writing professor Nick Salestrom moderates the conversation followed by readings from the guest writers, Isabel Essink and Rachel Hruza. This is a free event with no registration required. The Lincoln Civic Orchestra will present the 1st concert of their 2024-2025 season on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 4:00pm at the Fine Arts Building at Nebraska Wesleyan, 50th and Huntington Ave. Celebrating a theme of “New World”, this all-ages, open to the public, symphonic concert includes Antonin Dvořák’s iconic Symphony number 9, “From the New World” as well as contemporary composer Brian Balmages’ “Origins”.
