KZUM’s Jerry Garcia Birthday Bash will return on Friday, Aug. 2, at Bodega’s Alley, 1418 O St. The annual benefit for KZUM will again feature Lincoln’s finest purveyors of the music of The Grateful Dead, The Jerry Pranksters.
Lincoln’s Root Marm Chicken Farm Jug Band will open the evening at 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m. and your $5 admission will directly benefit KZUM. Raffle tickets will be available to purchase throughout the evening, with items to be given away including T-shirts, music, art and more.
August 1 will mark the 77th anniversary of Jerry Garcia’s birth. Join us to celebrate the man and the music while supporting KZUM — your home on the air in Lincoln for The Grateful Dead Hour, every Wednesday from 10 to 11 p.m.
