For the first time, we are please to offer KZUM designer socks as our thank-you gift for your donation of $120 or more this week during our fund drive.
KZUM’s fall fund drive, Sept. 5-12, seeks to raise $45,000 to close the gap on our goal of raising $300,000 by the end of the station’s fiscal year on Sept. 30.

The final fund drive of 2017 begins at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5, running through 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12. Meeting the goal will ensure that KZUM remains qualified for a long-running grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) through 2019. This funding has routinely accounted for approximately 20 percent or more of KZUM’s annual revenue and currently is about $72,000.
In 2014, noting that grant recipients needed to better prove viability in their communities, the CPB raised the required amount of funds that stations KZUM’s size must raise locally to continue qualifying for this Community Service Grant, from $100,000 to $300,000. In 2016, KZUM faced elimination from this grant program if it could not meet this new requirement — an amount the station had never come close to raising before.
