Thunder on the Plains has been Nebraska’s home for Celtic music on the radio since 2008. In honor of its 10th anniversary on the air at 89.3FM KZUM in 2018, we are thrilled to announce the release of our first compilation album The Best of Thunder on the Plains, filled with Celtic music and artists that have a special relationship with Thunder on the Plains and Nebraska.
From ‘pure-drop’ trad, to Celtic rock, to fusion with other genres, this selection of artists encompasses the essence of the quality programming Thunder on the Plains brings to the airwaves every week for the past ten years. Each artist was hand-selected by host Lady Susan, for their quality music and relationship to the show over the past decade. Included is even an exclusive LIVE track never before released to the public. The Best of Thunder on the Plains will be available in 2018 both via CD and digital download, available only to supporters of Thunder on the Plains programming during KZUM fund drives, starting in February.
