The last Saturday of every month, Lotus House of Yoga hosts a Sound Meditation Community Healing ceremony at the south location, 1701 Pine Lake Rd.

Starting at 7 p.m. and going until 8:15 p.m., the experience is a monthly union of heart and soul.

“Open and free to the public, Sound Meditation started in January this year. This was with the help of James Rosekrans of Bodhi Imports, Oliver Blumer of Sage Experience and the kind donation of Lotus House of yoga for the space and advertising,” instructor Jeremiah Moore said.

All of it started with an idea to help network a wide range of people interested or active in the concept of Sound Vibration to seek healing in their own personal ways. Healing can have a wide variety of adaptations.

“To me, simply put, it means a desire to grow. Whether through emotional courage, physical change or simply choosing to show up for one’s inner-most self”, said Moore. “Also, our community of those seeking to dig deeper is ever expanding. Through networking of those with similar interests, new curiosity and ancient knowledge, we begin to bridge the gap of collective consciousness. Ever healing, growing, enriching our experience and community.”

The event’s Facebook page gives an in-depth explanation of the session, describing the open collective performance of singing bowls, tuning forks, gongs, drums, chimes, droning instruments and meditative chant followed by a guided sound meditation. Bringing your own instrument is acceptable if you choose and comfortable attire is strongly encouraged. Lotus will provide bolsters, blankets and props for comfortable seated positions on the floor. Every now and again there will be collective use instruments brought to certain sessions.
