Thursday’s installment of KZUM’s summer concert series brought an evening of punk-polka, rock and roll and blues to Stransky Park. Lincoln’s Bolzen Beer Band started the evening with an energetic set of their signature brand of polka originals and popular covers. Then, Or What — normally Charlie Burton’s Band — played a few of Burton’s songs on their own before being joined by special guest Shawn Holt, who was filling in for Burton, who was under the weather.

Join us this Thursday at Stransky Park (17th & Harrison) for the legendary big band, the Bobby Layne Orchestra, complete with emcee duties by KZUM’s Con Good (host of “Dance Bands and More: When Melody was King”). See the complete schedule and more information here.
