Wednesday nights in Lincoln do not get much louder than Wednesday, August 9th when Long Island’s Taking Back Sunday visits the Capital City at The Bourbon Theatre.

Joining Taking Back Sunday Wednesday evening are Every Time I Die and All Get Out.

Hailing from Texas, All Get Out is fronted by Nathan Hussey and has an indie/alternative sound similar to Manchester Orchestra and Brand New. They have a number of EPs and two LPs, including 2016’s Nobody Likes A Quitter. The 10-track album contains hard-rock indie songs with a southern drawl that immediately draws heavy comparisons to Manchester Orchestra, but does provide just enough unique variables that it can stand on it’s own. The first single off the
album, “Get My Cut”, has a very entertaining Reservoir Dogs-inspired music video.

Metalcore rockers Every Time I Die, of Buffalo, N.Y., was founded by brothers Keith and Jordan Buckley and plays a combination of post-hardcore punk and metal. The brothers have gone through a few lineup changes in their 19-year career, but it’s primarily been the bass player that they can’t seem to keep. However, Stephen Micciche , the band’s bass player in the 2000’s before leaving for six years, has returned and been with the band now for the past 5 years.

Every Time I Die’s latest album, Low Teens, was released in September of 2016 and is their 8th studio effort. The band found its biggest success with their 2003 album, Hot Damn!, and has toured with the likes of Chimera, Dillinger Escape Plan, and Bleeding Through. Known for their live shows, Every Time I Die is bound to bring the energy and get the crowd going for as long as they can Wednesday evening.

Founded in 1999, Taking Back Sunday made a name for themselves in 2002 with their debut album, Tell All Your Friends. An emo-alternative pop-punk album, it was filled with anthemic tracks that spoke directly to late teens and early twentysomethings in the early 2000’s. The band was in the middle of an uprising of post-hardcore bands like The Movielife, Rufio, Brand New, and Straylight Run, to name a few. The success of Taking Back Sunday would continue with their sophomore album, Where You Want To Be and would peak with their third album, Louder Now, thanks to their most popular single to date, “MakeDamnSure.”

The 5-piece band has seen it’s fair share of lineup shakeups in its 18 years of existence. In fact, founding member of the band Brand New, Jesse Lacey, was an original member of Taking Back Sunday, but left the band 2 years in and before any material was actually recorded.

The band has seven full-length albums out, including their latest, Tidal Wave, released in 2016. Taking Back Sunday currently consists of John Nolan and Eddie Reyes on guitar, Mark O’Connell on drums, Shaun Cooper on bass and is fronted by lead singer Adam Lazzara.

Every Time I Die and Taking Back Sunday have been on the road touring for the past month. Prior to this current summer tour, Taking Back Sunday toured Europe and Australia in the spring. They have been touring nearly non-stop since their album release in September of 2016, including a stop on Omaha on the date of the album’s release.

With three bands providing their own unique sound, Wednesday night at The Bourbon Theatre is sure to be filled with rock and alternative for everyone.
