Not even the scorching summer heat prevented Salt Creek from engulfing The Bay in chill vibes on the night of its EP release show for “If You Were There.” The Lincoln-natives released the four-track EP Friday following and the release of the EP’s single “What You Would Hear” in June.
It was a hot Thursday night for a concert in the park. The Lightning Bugs played like champs, and filled the Summer air with great music.
Portland-Based Alternative Group, Portugal. The Man, played a highly anticipated show at The Bourbon Theatre. The group was founded in 2000, and made waves with their album "Woodstock," which features the hit song "Feel It Still."
Folk singer/songwriter, Jospeph Huber, was in town to play a concert at The Bourbon Theatre. He is currently on tour for his latest album, "Moondog." He was joined on-stage by Lincoln's Gabe Nelson.
A member of The Machete Archive is moving away. As such, Duffy's Tavern hosting a going away concert of sorts featuring Her Flyaway Manner, Universe Contest and The Machete Archive.

Selwyn Birchwood was in town to play at The Zoo Bar on Wednesday, July 10.
New Orleans-Based band, The Iguanas returned to The Zoo Bar stage on Monday, July 8. Their sound has been described as "combining Chicano rock, R&B, Conjunto and various Latin styles into a deep groove."
The June 27 Stransky Park concert featured a special double-bill for the final June concert featuring Jaguar James and The House Band.
Lincoln Band, Alive or Just Breathing, was joined at the Bourbon Theatre by Weathers: an L.A.-based Alternative group. They are currently on a Summer tour.
