"Humanities Nebraska speaker Sue McLain will present the program, “Fabulous 50’s Fashion”, on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Second Baptist Church, 525 North 25th Street, Lincoln. The program will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the church’s Fellowship Hall. The program is free of charge and no advanced reservations are required. This program is made possible by Humanities Nebraska, the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment."

Remarque art class hosted at Metro Gallery Nebraska and taught by Greg Sparling II. Greg will be teaching a Remarque technique developed by him. This course is a 5 week course that will be held each Thursday.
Larksong’s Spring Festival. Public welcome. 9:00am to 5:00pm. Readings by well-known and local writers, music performances, writing sprints, and open writes using our antique typewriters. Hundreds of used books for sale – name your own price. Readers and performers include Mary Pipher, Twyla Hansen, Pam & Randy Barker, Dorothy Ramsey, and Serenity Dougherty. BaBa’s Food Truck from 11:00 to 2:00. Bakery goods from Gratitude Bakery on sale. Free Will Donations accepted as part of Give to Lincoln Day Celebration. Your $$$ will keep the lights on and the writers writing!

Friday May 17, 6:30-9:30pm at Constellation Studios. Join us for a free special musical-night with Kjell Cronn and Pance Zaev. Enjoy light snacks and beverages. Cronn is a local singer-songwriter-artist with a nomadic history and wistful romanticism to his songwriting storytelling. Zaev is a local musician who is an accomplished reed player with a polished style, from Macedonia. Their music ranges as country-folk, jazz, chamber mash-up!
