KZUM’s “How’s It Growin’?,” along with Lincoln Calling, present the next installment of our Garden Talk Workshop series: A Celebration of Herbs on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Lincoln Community Foundation Garden, 1415 N St.
This garden talk series event at the beautiful Lincoln Community Foundation Gardens will focus on how to use homegrown herbs for culinary uses, herbal healing and harvesting for meal planning.
Featuring Bob Henrickson of KZUM’s “How’s it Growin’?” and herbal experts Jill Kuhel and Sharon Ohmberger. The formal presentation will be from 11 a.m to noon, followed by a potluck lunch from noon-1 p.m. Please plan on bringing a dish to share that features fresh herbs. Come prepared to talk about your dish and bring copies of the recipe to share!
Let’s eat local, in a beautiful garden, during Lincoln Calling! No registration is required for this FREE event! But we do need to know attendance for seating, so if you plan on coming, please indicate you are “going” on the Facebook event page.
This event is presented in conjunction with Lincoln Calling’s workshop series, taking place during the four-day music festival that will feature over 80 bands in downtown Lincoln. Other workshops include panels on entrepreneurship, fashion, wellness and more. Find out more at lincolncalling.com.
