KZUM Art Beat | Andrea Williams
Since a young age, creating has been a huge part of Williams’ life. Having her work entered into a competition hosted by a national children’s magazine and winning third place kind of sealed the deal. From then on, Williams entered her work in competitions through middle and high school. She has always loved to draw and lose herself in the creative process, acrylic painting has become a new love.

Clyde Malone Center’s Juneteenth Celebration to feature food music and fun on June 15.
Juneteenth began as a holiday to commemorate the announcement on June 19, 1865, that slavery was abolished. This holiday sparks many celebrations all across the country, including right here in Lincoln.
Downtown Lincoln Association to hold first ever Downtown Family Day on June 15
On June 15 the Downtown Lincoln Association is holding the first ever Downtown Family Day. This free event is held at Tower Square, where families will be able to enjoy the day with fun activities.
Rise Up!: The Star City Pride Festival returns Friday and Saturday
This year marks the 13th year of Star City Pride here in Lincoln. Every year Star City Pride puts on a celebration in support of the LGBTQA+ community. Pride brings together Lincoln’s community whether allies or members to raise awareness of equality.

Lincoln Calling to hold Give To Lincoln Day Party at Duffy’s Backlot
The Lincoln Calling Duffy’s Backlot Party will be held May 18 at Duffy’s Tavern in Lincoln to help the nonprofit festival, Lincoln Calling, raise money for Give to Lincoln Day.
Shirts 101 celebrating 25 years on Thursday with ribbon cutting, open house
Production facility tours and free T-shirts will be offered for guests who attend the anniversary ceremony, which is open to the public.

Zipline House Party Closes Beer Week 2019
Lincoln Beer Week officially started last Friday with events happening all across the city. The week will end Saturday with a free Zipline House Party at Zipline Brewing’s parking lot.
